General Product Care Information
Alain Saint-Joanis flatware is made with authentic
natural materials such as ebony, rosewood, olivewood, boxwood.
Additionally there are ranges made from resin, stainless
steel and silverplate.
It is dishwasher safe.
Metal fittings and bolsters are made of 18/10
stainless steel, silver plated
or gold plated and knives are made of
carbon steel.
All Alain
Saint-Joanis flatware is hand assembled
and polished by hand.

Product Care
Stainless Steel
is dishwasher safe but a few
precautions should be taken when cleaning stainless steel items.
- do not use too much washing
powder
- do not place other ordinary
metal items in the dish washer at the same time (jar lids etc)
- make sure that the rinsing agent
is used in sufficient quantity.
- wash immediately after use
- remove from
the dishwasher after each wash
- do not store in plastic or wrappings that may contain moisture.
Silver
plate should be cleaned and stored as per
instructions for sterling
silver (apart from the comments on not using in a dishwasher - Alain
Saint-Joanis is dishwasher safe. Follow the instructions above re
stainless steel).
Product Care of Knives
Alain Saint-Joanis knife
blades are made of carbon steel to enable
good resistance and cutting. Please use the
following instructions-
-
wash knives
immediately after use
- remove from
the dishwasher after each wash
- the blades
should be wiped after each wash
- if stained, moisten a pad
with alcohol, shine the blade, then rinse and wipe
- do not store in plastic or wrappings that may contain moisture.
